CAMBODIA IMMERSION

Student testimonials: Jack: I really enjoyed exploring the Angkor temples on bikes as well as spending time with the local people in the village, experiencing their culture and changing the lives of the families we built for. It was rewarding to hand over the houses and see how grateful they all were. Tayliah: The best part of the trip was definitely staying in the village, getting to know the families and building the houses was so rewarding. Another good part was being able to try new things like spiders and touring the city on the tuk-tuks. Jasmine: There were so many fantastic opportunities, and the experience was extremely eye-opening - getting to experience Vietnamese and Cambodian culture, and how they live. The highlight of the trip was certainly the village - getting to hang and make friends with the village children, as well as getting to bargain at the markets. Tahlia: The highlight of the trip was definitely the village and orphanage. Being able to experience a new culture and help families in need and seeing so many kids so grateful for something as little as stickers. Even parents were so grateful for bubbles. With many tears at the orphanage, it was so incredible to see so many little kids so happy and being able to spend quality time with them.

Sam: I really enjoyed experiencing some new culture and the families' reaction when they saw their new house, also watching Billy frightened by a spider was pretty enjoyable.

Caitlin: I enjoyed staying in the village and building the houses. The circus was very entertaining and the food was really good.

James: I think my favourite part was going to the village, meeting the locals and building the houses. It was definitely an eye-opener to everyone that went, and it was good to see everyone having a go.

Annabelle: I really enjoyed staying in the village and the bike ride around the temples. It was such an amazing experience. I hope to go back in the future.

Camden: The most enjoyable part of the trip was definitely the tours we were able to go on to explore the new culture and new country we were a part of. Seeing the temples, the sights of Phnom Penh, museums, markets and the village was an eye-opening experience that taught me to appreciate everything I have and made me so grateful I was able to be a part of the experience.
