Hennessy Catholic College Yearbook 2022

2022 saw us emerge from the Covid-19 cloud that has hung over all of us restricting many of our normal experiences that up until the beginning of 2020 we took for granted. It has been great to see the many opportunities Hennessy offers being available once again. Our Gallagher students made the most of these opportunities and involved themselves in a range of activities. It is this positive attitude that makes Gallagher House such a wonderful community to be a part of. Once again Gallagher hosted the Annual Colour Run at the Young Racecourse which proved to be a very fun day for the whole school - participation was high and more importantly a lot of money was raised for the ‘Vinnies Winter Appeal'. Our other community event was ‘Dine and Donate’ which provided our students with the chance to serve the wider Young community by preparing meals for those in need. Student involvement was very much on display at both the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals as well as the many interhouse challenges that have occurred this year. Combined with our students' commitment to their studies across all subjects we have seen many students being acknowledged via the House Award system. As 2022 draws to a close it is really rewarding to see so many Gallagher students qualifying for Bronze, Silver and even a Gold Award! Special mention goes to our student leadership team in 2022 - Our House was led by Eliza Butt and Chelsea Cleverdon with Jack Murphy supporting them as Vice-Captain of Gallagher. Their promotion of house spirit and their encouragement to all students throughout the year was very much appreciated. As we look towards 2023 we congratulate Tayliah Butcher and Elisabeth Hall on their selection as Gallagher Captains as well as Jack Murphy who was announced as one of the College Captains.

May all our Gallagher students, staff and families have a very Merry Christmas.
