Yearbook 2021

Gallagher House Report

I wrote last year that it was a year where flexibility was the key. 2021 once again challenged everyone in Gallagher to be flexible as we navigated another year of disruption and uncertainty due Covid-19. As Gallagher House Leader I have been very impressed with how our students and staff responded to the challenges. As a House we managed to achieve many great things. I was very pleased to see how our students embraced the many opportunities offered by the College - this was reflected in the high number of House Awards presented to students throughout the year. As 2021 draws to a close it is really rewarding to see so many Gallagher students qualifying for Bronze, Silver and even a Gold Award! My thanks is extended to our House Captains Emily Dillon and Jannat Bakri as well as Vice Captain Eliza Butt for their energy and enthusiasm in building House Spirit. Gallagher led by example through their extracurricular activities such as the Colour Run, the Cake stall on Hennessy Day, Dine and Donate as well as Social Justice Day. All of these wonderful aspects of community life would not be possible without the support and leadership of our excellent Gallagher staff team who, each day, foster the spirit of Gallagher.

As we look ahead to 2022 I wish our new captains Chelsea Cleverdon and Eliza Butt all the best as they embark on this new journey.

May all our Gallagher students, staff and families have a very Merry Christmas Mr Luke Miller
