League Tag

On 23rd February, the Opens Girls participated in the South West Slopes regional qualifier of the League Tag competition. We had a total of 27 ladies participate in two teams. The girls played fantastically, the team work, skill level, and enthusiasm was a credit to themselves and their families. Both teams had a fantastic day, the gold team only losing one game, which resulted in them coming away in 4th place. The blue team was undefeated all day. They played the grand final against Murrumburrah High, who were very skilled young ladies - however, the team work, patience and defence got us through for the win 20 - 4.

OPENS CHAMPIONSHIPS - Wagga

> In March our amazing open girls league tag girls travelled to Wagga to play in the Opens Championships and played impressively! They went through to the grand final undefeated. In the grand final, we met St Frances Xavier Leeton. Who were also very skilled and undefeated. Our girls played four back-to-back games, we ran out of puff towards the end of the second half in the grand final, which resulted in Leeton getting two quick tries. The game was incredible and our girls should be so proud of themselves.

Some highlights were;

* Maddy G - skill and provision in fullback. * Charlotte, Issy and Ella - controlled the wings well, communication clear and concise. Issy saving 3 tries in semis. * Chelsea - communication, support and sprints down the sideline. * Lexie - the mean tagging machine. * Mia, Clare and Trysta - their hard and fast runs gaining many meters, breaking the defense. * Eliza and Holli - controlling the game, setting up plays. * Charlotte and Ellie - having the ultimate duo which resulted in many tries. The support and teamwork these girls have is fantastic.

* Emma - the calm and reliable tagger who is always there when needed. * Tilly - calm with controlling the play and never let a girl around her.

Girls you should be so proud of yourself you were amazing, a credit to your families, the college and yourself
